Meet the Director

Nigel Bartlett

Nigel has worked in the commercial insurance industry for over 25 years for some of the leading companies such as Aon, Marsh, Alexander Forbes and JLT.  He has a wealth of experience in managing clients’ risk exposures whether through traditional insurance placement or risk control solutions.  He believes passionately in the need to deliver excellent quality service and advice to clients, whatever their size or profile.
 
His experience ranges from small, owner managed enterprises to large, multi-national companies and plc’s in such diverse industry sectors as Construction, Manufacturing & Engineering, Food Processing, Retail & Wholesale, Transportation & Logistics, Professional Risks and Media & Technology firms.
 
Outside of work, Nigel is a father to two young boys and is keen sportsman, especially football (no longer playing!) where he follows Cardiff City and the Welsh national football team, Cricket, Rugby Union and NFL where he follows the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Aside from sport, Nigel is heavily involved in miniature painting, scale modelling and is a key table top war gamer.

Supporting us are Momentum Broker Solutions who provide invaluable access to insurer markets and broking capability enabling us to compete on a national level and access over 200 insurer markets including local, London and Lloyds. Unlike some, we are not tied to specific insurers but select insurers on the basis of the most appropriate policy wordings and cover for a client’s risks, and not on the broker earnings from working with them. Between Bartlett James and Momentum we have over 30 staff focused on supporting our clients.
